The rear diffuser improves the aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle as a result. The diffuser helped create vortices that keep flow attached to the diffuser surface, further improving its performance. The diffuser creates a low-pressure zone in the rear while the splitter creates a low-pressure zone in the front.
