Shipping

SHIPPING, INSURANCE & DAMAGE LIABILITY

Full Inspection Before Shipment: All goods are inspected and documented before they leave SMG or our vendors.

Insurance Responsibility: Customers are responsible for shipping insurance. Without insurance, you accept the risk of carrier loss or damage.

Default Carrier Coverage: Standard liability is $100 unless additional coverage is purchased at checkout.

Claims: Must be reported within 48 hours with photos. Claims after this period will not be honored.

Optional Insurance: SMG offers Route® Shipping Protection at checkout. If declined, SMG is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged packages beyond the carrier’s default coverage.

Returns

SMG Speed Shop – Terms, Conditions & Return Policy

By purchasing from SMG Speed Shop, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms, conditions, and policies. These terms are non-negotiable and binding.

RETURNS

We offer a 15-day return window on most eligible items. All returns must be authorized in advance.

Return Authorization (RMA) Required:

Email: returns@smgspeed.com

Do not return anything without prior written approval. Unauthorized returns will be refused and may be returned at your expense.

Return Conditions:

Items must be brand new, uninstalled, and in resellable condition.

Original packaging must be clean and intact — no writing, labels, or damage.

All components, accessories, and paperwork must be included.

Returns will be inspected for wear, installation, or missing parts.

Returns must be properly packed and insured. Damage during return shipping is your responsibility.

Restocking Fees & Refund Deductions:

All approved returns are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee; some manufacturers require up to 30%.

Incomplete, damaged, or marked packaging may increase the fee or result in refusal.

All shipping costs (including “free shipping” promotions) will be deducted from refunds.

Any vendor-imposed return or cancellation fees will be passed on to the customer in full.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are not eligible for return:

Wheels: once tires are mounted or show installation marks.

Tires: all sales final once mounted (defect claims go through manufacturer).

Body Panels: no returns on freight-shipped body components due to shipping risk.

Installed Parts: Any part that has been installed, test-fit, modified, or shows signs of installation is NON-RETURNABLE. - This includes parts that may be defective, defective parts warranty policies apply

Fueling Components (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO fuel pumps, injectors, flex fuel kits, fuel rails, lines, fittings, regulators, controllers): ALL fueling-related items are NON-RETURNABLE once shipped — installed or not — due to contamination and safety risk.

Electrical & Electronic Parts (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO wiring harnesses, sensors, modules, controllers, tuners, solenoids, switches): ALL electrical items are NON-RETURNABLE once shipped, regardless of installation status.

Custom & Special Orders: hoods, carbon fiber, coated/painted parts, custom wheels, made-to-order items.

Custom Tuning Devices: HP Tuners, Banks, SCT, Bully Dog, etc. — sealed or not. - NO EXCEPTIONS

Open-box items.

Any item not in original, factory-sealed packaging.

Apparel: all sales final unless factory-sealed and unworn.

ANY Item listed on the product page as non-returnable, sales final, as-is etc.

Manufacturer Defects on Non-Returnable Items:

If a non-returnable item is deemed defective by the manufacturer, it may be eligible for exchange or repair strictly under that manufacturer’s warranty policy. SMG Speed Shop does NOT control manufacturer warranty approvals, timelines, or outcomes.

SMG Speed Shop is not responsible for manufacturer warranty decisions, requirements, or policies. Our role is limited to assisting customers by directing them to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty contact for third-party products. WE DO NOT HANDLE WARRANT CLAIMS FOR 3RD PARTY PRODUCTS, WE CAN ONLY ASSIST IN DIRECTING YOU THE PRODUCT OWNER TO THE MFGR FOR THEIR PROCESSES 

SMG-Branded (House Brand) Product Warranty Handling:

Warranty claims for SMG-branded products are handled according to the SMG warranty policies outlined elsewhere on this policy page. These policies apply only to SMG-branded items and do not extend to third-party brands.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Important – No Guarantee of Cancellation Once Placed:
Orders are processed quickly, and our team does not directly control warehouse or vendor operations. If an order is in processing, packed, labeled, or transmitted to a vendor, cancellation may not be possible — even if your online order status has not yet updated.

If a cancellation cannot be completed:

The order will proceed as placed.

You may request a return under the above return policy, at your expense.

Cancellation Fees & Vendor Policies:

Many vendors charge cancellation/change fees once an order is in process; these will be deducted from your refund if approved.

Any shipping costs incurred will also be deducted.

Orders placed through a sales representative carry a minimum 10% cancellation fee. - NO EXCEPTIONS

Custom/made-to-order items cannot be canceled once production begins. If no production has started and cancellation is requested within 24 hours, fees may be waived — but there is no guarantee.

Non-Dealer Orders (Retail Customers):

For custom, made-to-order, or special-order items, cancellation approval is not guaranteed once production begins.

If cancellation is approved, any refund will be issued as store credit only.

Store credit does not expire and can be used toward any future purchase.

WHOLESALE & DEALER ORDERS

SMG Speed Shop extends wholesale privileges to approved dealer accounts. Dealer orders are subject to the same conditions as retail orders, with the following additional policies:

Dealer Returns:

Dealer product returns mirror the standard retail policy. All return conditions, restocking fees, and non-returnable item rules apply.

Dealer Cancellations & Refunds:

Dealer order cancellations, if approved, will not be refunded back to the original payment method.

Instead, a credit memo will be applied to the dealer’s account for future use.

Credit memos do not expire and may be applied toward subsequent orders.

Dealer Account Credits:

Credits issued for returns, cancellations, or adjustments will remain on the dealer’s account until used.

Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded to a payment card.

CORE RETURNS

Some products include a core charge, refunded when a qualifying core is returned within 30 days.

Core Requirements:

Must match the purchased item in completeness and condition.

Damaged, modified, or incomplete cores may be rejected or partially credited.

Include your order details inside the package.

Ship via UPS or FedEx only — USPS returns often get lost or damaged.

INSTALLATION DAMAGE & MISUSE

Improper installation voids claims. Dishonesty in claims may result in being blacklisted. If you break something by mistake, contact us — we may help.

CUSTOM PRODUCTS

Non-refundable. Issues must be reported immediately.

REPLACEMENT ITEMS

Replacements follow the same rules as returns. Customers needing immediate replacement may purchase a second unit and return the original once approved.

REFUND PROCESS & TIMELINE

Retail Orders: Refunds are issued to the same payment method used, unless the order was financed or is a custom/made-to-order cancellation (see above).

Dealer Accounts: Refunds are issued as credit memos only. No exceptions.

Financed Orders: Follow separate rules below.

Processing time: 7–10 business days, depending on bank or card issuer. - THIS IS NOT CONTROLLED BY US, RATHER THE BANKS AND BANKING INDUSTRY. DELAYS IN RECEIVING YOUR REFUND LIE SOLELY ON ACCURACY OF YOUR RETURN AND THE BANKS PROCESSING ONCE WE APPROVE IT.

All vendor fees, cancellation fees, restocking fees, and shipping costs are deducted first.

Refund timelines are determined by the financial institution, not SMG.

FINANCED ORDERS (Affirm, Snap, Sunbit, etc.)

Binding Finance Contracts: Financing cannot be refunded back to the lender once approved. SMG has no ability to reverse these transactions.

Exchanges: Full financed amount (minus fees/shipping) may be applied toward an exchange of equal or greater value.

Store Credit: If no exchange is made immediately, store credit may be issued in the financed amount. Store credit must be used within 30 days of issuance.

No Cash Refunds: Funds cannot be returned to the lender, bank, or card.

By selecting a financed payment option at checkout, you agree to these terms in full.

FINAL NOTES

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Returns must be approved and accompanied by an RMA.

Unidentified returns may be forfeited.

All policies are binding and non-negotiable.

Warranty

WARRANTY

SMG-Branded Products:

Flex Fuel Systems: 1-year warranty to original purchaser.

Aux Fuel & Big Boy Systems: 90-day warranty (professional installation required).

Brakes & Suspension: 90-day warranty against defects (wear items excluded).

Third-Party Brands:

SMG Speed Shop does not administer, approve, or override warranties for non-SMG branded products. All third-party warranty claims must be submitted directly to the manufacturer in accordance with their policies.

Warranty Claims May Require: proof of purchase, return for testing, or pre-approval for shipping.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

Must be reported within 15 days.

Depending on circumstances, a replacement or prepaid return label may be provided.

Does Not Cover: installation damage, incorrect orders, or “changed my mind” returns.
