The PowerTender® 5-Bank 4 Amp is the first multi-bank Battery Tender® charger to offer per-bank chemistry selection and per-bank voltage selection — each of its five banks independently configurable for Lithium or lead-acid chemistry and 6V or 12V voltage. For mixed fleets, collector garages, and dealerships maintaining multiple vehicles with different battery types and voltages simultaneously, the 5-Bank is the single infrastructure solution.
Per-Bank Chemistry and Voltage Selection — What Makes This Different
The Battery Tender® 2-Bank and 4-Bank maintain 12V lead-acid batteries independently across multiple banks. The PowerTender® 5-Bank goes further: each bank has its own chemistry selector (lead-acid or Lithium) and its own voltage selector (6V or 12V). Bank 1 can be maintaining a 12V Lithium motorcycle battery while Bank 2 charges a 6V classic car battery and Bank 3 runs a 12V lead-acid ATV battery — all simultaneously, all at full 4 Amp output per bank, all running independent ISM cycles.
ISM on Every Bank, Fully Independent
Each bank runs the complete 4-stage ISM algorithm independently at 4 Amp output and the selected voltage and chemistry:
- Initialization — Individual battery health check before current flows on that bank
- Bulk Charge — Full 4 Amp output at the selected voltage restores depleted capacity for that battery
- Absorption — Current tapers independently as that battery approaches full charge
- Float Maintenance — Correct maintenance protocol for lead-acid or Lithium delivered 24/7, with the correct voltage for each bank
Compatible per bank: 14Ah to 100Ah at 6V or 12V. Lead-acid: flooded, AGM, gel cell, and sealed maintenance-free. Lithium: LiFePO4.

At 4 Amp per bank, the PowerTender® 5-Bank charges and recovers batteries more than three times faster than a 1.25 Amp Plus during bulk charging — while maintaining the same ISM precision and float maintenance capability for both lead-acid and Lithium.
Automatic Temperature Compensation
All banks automatically adjust charge voltage based on ambient temperature for lead-acid applications — delivering the correct voltage in cold storage conditions and reducing output in heat to prevent overcharging. Each bank compensates independently.
Safety Features
- Spark-proof connection on each bank — no current flows until polarity and connection are confirmed correct per bank
- Reverse polarity protection per bank — incorrect connection on one bank does not affect others, protecting Lithium BMS systems

ISM float maintenance on all five banks prevents sulfation in lead-acid batteries and delivers the correct Lithium maintenance protocol simultaneously. Battery life consistently extends from 2–3 years to 5 years or more across every battery connected to the 5-Bank.
