OVERVIEW
The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Panel Kit dramatically cleans up the underbody of the S550 GT350/GT350R. Ford did an amazing job with the vehicle but the underbody was quite a let down when we lifted the car up for the first time. We immediately wanted to flat bottom the car with an easy to bolt on solution. By adding the flat underbody panel kit, in conjunction with the fender evacuation kit and turning vane kit, the underbody is dramatically cleaned up, reducing drag and increasing downforce.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to extract more performance for the given build volume; increasing downforce generated and drag reduced from the addition of these underbody panels.
During the design process; we utilized in-house scan data. This resulted in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.
These underbody panels were designed for owners looking get the most out of their front splitter and rear diffuser.

Note: Modification is required if running full length jacking rails. Will also work with regular S550 chassis with slight modification.

Science:
The Ventus 1 kit was designed for the Mustang owner looking to reduce drag and increase downforce slightly. A large part of the drag reduction comes from cleaning up the underbody, which this kit does in spades. Couple the flat underbody panels with the turning vanes and fender evacuation kit, and the drag reduction is quite substantial with a slight bump in downforce from better-controlled flow around the vehicle. This is a great beginner package for the Mustang owner looking to reduce lap times on the track and maybe increase fuel economy on the street. If more downforce is your cup of tea, look into our Ventus 2 and 3 kits to really reduce lap times on the track.
