REMOVE P0420, P0430 Error Codes
Typically the error codes will be P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1) and/or P0430 P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2).

The Clean Air Act (§ 203(a)(3), 42 U.S.C. § 7522(a)(3)) prohibits the following actions:
(i) The removal or deactivation of any emission control device or design element installed on a motor vehicle or engine, in accordance with regulations, prior to or after its sale and delivery to the end user.
(ii) The manufacture, sale, or installation of any component intended for use in a motor vehicle or engine that primarily serves to bypass, disable, or render ineffective any emission control device or design element. This prohibition applies when the individual involved is aware or should be aware that the component is being offered for sale, installed, or utilized for such purposes.

- I acknowledge that it is unlawful to install an aftermarket part intended for use with, or as part of, a required motor vehicle pollution control device or system that alters or modifies the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control device or system, unless the vehicle on which the part is installed is designed exclusively for competition use. I understand that a competition vehicle is not eligible for use, registration, or licensing on public roads or highways.
- I confirm that this product or these products are designed and intended solely for use with competition vehicles. I certify that the part will be installed only on the vehicle specified above, which I affirm is a competition vehicle and is not registered or licensed for use on public roads or highways.
- I am aware that installing this product or these products on a vehicle registered or licensed for use on public roads or highways may constitute a violation of the Clean Air Act. I understand that such a violation may subject me to personal civil or criminal liability, including fines of up to $5,179 per day.
- I hereby acknowledge and understand that in the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) has asserted regulatory authority over the use of race-only products under the Clean Air Act. I agree, in compliance with the EPA’s rules and regulations, that the use of race-only products on vehicles being operated on U.S. public roads, streets, and highways is strictly prohibited.
- Furthermore, I recognize and acknowledge that California laws, California Air Resources Board regulations, and the laws of other U.S. states and countries may impose different or additional prohibitions and requirements that may be applicable to automotive products.
