OVERVIEW
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strake Kit combines function, form, and science to deliver unparalleled fit, performance, and style to your Shelby GT350.
The Shelby GT350 comes with a well-designed diffuser from the factory. We wanted to take the OEM's design a step further by adding vertical fences, called strakes. These strakes increase downforce production from the diffuser with no negative impact to drag according to our CFD analysis, thus increasing vehicle efficiency.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to extract more performance for the given build volume; increasing downforce generated and drag reduced from the addition of the rear diffuser strakes. Using OEM scan data obtained in-house, we were able to develop a solution that fits like an OE part.
These rear diffuser strakes were designed for owners looking for function and form; specifically with a subtle strake design that offers an OEM-like appearance.

Science:
The Verus Engineering Diffuser Strake Kit increases downforce with little increase in drag on the GT350. The vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency increases with the strakes over the stock setup. The strakes were designed to help block the horseshoe vortices that form on the rear wheels from disrupting the fluid flow out of the diffuser. The strakes also improve the efficiency of the rear diffuser by controlling the volume of fluid flow out of the diffuser and increasing important vortices to promote attached diffuser flow.
Adding the Verus Engineering Diffuser Strake Kit maximizes the efficiency of the factory diffuser on the Shelby GT350.
