Description
OVERVIEW
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser combines function, form, and science to deliver unparalleled fit, performance, and style to your S550 Mustang.
Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to extract more performance for the given build volume; increasing downforce generated and drag reduced from the addition of the rear diffuser to the S550 chassis.
During the design process; we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.
This Rear Diffuser was designed for owners looking for function and form; specifically with a non-aggressive strake design to give a subtle and clean rear-end look.
This Rear Diffuser is a direct bolt-on for the regular S550 chassis, but it can work with the GT350 , GT350R, and Mach1 differential cooler with our Install Kit.
The diffuser will fit GT500s as well with minimal modification.

Science:
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser decreases the overall lift and reduces the drag of the S550 chassis. The rear diffuser improves the aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle as a result. The diffuser helped create vortices that keep flow attached to the diffuser surface, further improving its performance. The diffuser creates a low-pressure zone in the rear while the splitter creates a low-pressure zone in the front. This equates to a well-proportioned aerodynamic balance for the S550 Mustang.
Confirmed Exhaust Fitment:
- Borla Touring (Requires Single Bracket to be Installed in Opposite Orientation)
- Borla, Ford Performance Option (Requires Front/Middle Bracket Modification)
- Corsa Extreme and Sport
- Gibson Cat-Back (Requires Single Bracket Modification)
- OEM
- Roush Mufflers (Requires Use of Spacers)

A Quick Look:
The GT350R in our shop holds a special place in our hearts here at Verus Engineering, as it is one of the first American cars for which we mass-produced parts. This greatly paved the way for what was possible with other American platforms like the C8.
